CityBreak.in is a city break recommendation tool and editorial travel guide, built specifically for UK travellers. The core product is a yes/no quiz that matches you to your ideal city break in under a minute — taking into account your departure airport region, your budget, the kind of trip you want and whether you're up for a long-haul flight or prefer to keep it short.

At the end of the quiz, you get a personalised 3-day itinerary generated by AI, based on your specific answers — not a generic template that works for everyone and surprises nobody.

What makes it different

• Most city break tools ignore where in the UK you're flying from. Ours doesn't. A 4-hour flight from Edinburgh is a different proposition from a 4-hour flight from London Stansted. We factor this in.
• The quiz uses yes/no binary questions — no dropdowns, no sliders, no "rate your preference from 1 to 10". Fast, decisive, honest.
• The itineraries are AI-generated but based on our own editorial research — every city guide is written with specific, accurate recommendations, not generic travel brochure content.
• We cover 102 destinations including Beyond Europe — Turkey, Morocco, Georgia, the UAE, Jordan and the Caucasus region, all accessible on direct or one-stop flights from the UK.

The editorial approach

The city guides are written to be genuinely useful rather than comprehensively vague. Each one includes specific restaurant recommendations (with real names and why they're worth going to), honest seasonal advice (we'll tell you when not to go as readily as when to go), and practical information about getting from the airport to the city.

We try to write the guide we'd want to read ourselves — the one that treats you as a traveller with taste and curiosity, not as someone who needs to be told that Barcelona has beaches.

The AI itinerary

The personalised itinerary at the end of the quiz is generated by Claude (Anthropic's AI), using your quiz answers and departure region. The itinerary is generated fresh for each user — it is not a pre-written template, and it is tailored to your stated preferences (budget, activities, travel style).

As with any AI-generated content, the itinerary should be treated as a starting point rather than definitive advice. Opening hours, prices and restaurant availability change. We recommend verifying key bookings (especially museums and restaurants that require advance reservation) before you travel.
